Scott Spear - USA
Scott joined Team Rubrix in 2024, contributing immensely to the RX4E platform. He made an immediate impact at his debut event in 2024 — the Brian Kinwald Klassic — where he secured 1st place in his class, showcasing both speed and precision. Building on that momentum, Scott is set to return to the 2025 Kinwald Klassic, and brought home another TQ and win. He also looks forward to competing at the highly anticipated 2025 Team Associated Vintage Off-Road Nationals in Las Vegas this October. A racer to watch, Scott continues to push the boundaries with every outing.

Chris VanAir - USA
Chris VanAir – Championship-Caliber Driver for Team Rubrix.
Chris VanAir joined Team Rubrix in 2025 and is set to compete at the 2025 Team Associated Vintage Off-Road Nationals in Las Vegas, running both the RXD and RX4E platforms. Chris has already made a major impact this season, taking the top podium spot in the 94–04 4WD class at the prestigious JConcepts Clash of Champions. He continued his dominant form at VONATS, securing first place finishes once again with both his Rubrix RX4E and RXD — demonstrating not only technical versatility but also elite consistency across multiple classes.
With a proven track record and momentum on his side, VanAir is poised for another standout performance in Vegas.

Allen Horne - USA
We’re thrilled to welcome a true legend to Team Rubrix!
It’s with great excitement and humility that we announce Allen Horne will be joining Team Rubrix for the Team Associated Vintage Off-Road Championships. Allen is nothing short of an icon in the RC community. With multiple World Championship appearances and numerous national titles to his name, he brings over 30 years of experience and passion to the track. His depth of knowledge, competitive spirit, and unwavering dedication make him a formidable presence in the Vintage RC racing world.

Nathan Ralls - UK
Nathan joined Team Rubrix in 2024, bringing with him the proven RX4E platform and a wealth of experience at the professional, national, and international levels. A respected figure in the RC community, Nathan has built a reputation not only for his on-track achievements but also for his dedication to growing the sport from the ground up.
He has successfully developed a comprehensive junior training program, designed to guide young drivers from club-level racing all the way to national A-main finals and beyond — helping shape the next generation of elite RC talent. Looking ahead, Nathan is excited to compete at the 2025 Team Associated Vintage Off-Road Nationals in Las Vegas this October, continuing to represent Team Rubrix at the highest level.

Chris Ely - UK
Chris – Founding Driver and RX4E Development Leader.
Chris joined Team Rubrix at the very earliest stages of the project, receiving serialized chassis P001 — a testament to his integral role in the team's formation. More than just a highly skilled and professional driver, Chris has been instrumental in the development of the RX4E platform, providing critical feedback and hands-on testing that helped shape the car into a race-winning machine. His dedication, technical insight, and on-track performance continue to make him a cornerstone of the Rubrix program.

Daniel Erman - Sweden
Daniel Erman – Swedish National Champion Returns to the Track.
Daniel Erman, the 1996 Swedish National Champion with his iconic RC10 B2, has made a celebrated return to the vintage RC scene. Known for his precision, race craft, and deep technical knowledge, Daniel is once again ready to showcase his talents on the track. With a championship pedigree and a passion for the sport that never faded, his comeback adds excitement and prestige to every event he enters.

Drew Boyd - USA
Drew – Engineering Talent Behind a Championship-Winning Platform.
Drew joined Team Rubrix at the beginning of 2025 alongside Brian Dunbar, as part of the team’s focused preparation for the JConcepts Vintage Clash of Champions in Indiana. Working in close collaboration, Drew and Brian developed a class-winning platform that delivered both performance and reliability on race day. Their efforts paid off when Chris VanAir drove the car to the top of the podium, securing a standout victory for Team Rubrix.
Drew’s technical expertise and commitment to excellence continue to play a key role in the team’s ongoing success.

Alexander Funke - GERMANY

Scott PetTet - AUSTRALIA
Scott Pettet – World-Class Driver Returns with a Rubrix RX4D.
Scott Pettet, a world-class driver and seasoned competitor, has officially received his RRP RX4D kit as he prepares for two major upcoming events: Vintage Bash 4.0 in Australia and the Team Associated Vintage Off-Road Nationals in Las Vegas.
In 2024, Scott impressed with a 4th place finish at Vintage Bash, piloting his Rubrix RX4D against a highly competitive field. His return to the track is backed by a legacy that includes being part of the 1997 IFMAR World Championship entry list — a testament to his elite skill and long-standing impact on the sport.
Now back in action with renewed focus and competitive fire, Scott brings decades of experience and a deep passion for RC racing to the vintage scene. Team Rubrix is proud to support Scott as he continues to chase podiums and inspire a new generation of racers.

Nathan Marsh - AUS
Nathan – Dedicated Vintage RC Enthusiast & Community Contributor
Nathan Marsh joined Team Rubrix in 2024 with his RRP RX4D and is an active member of the South Brisbane Chargers Off Road RC Club, where he serves as Vintage Lead on the club committee.
In 2025, Nathan played a key role in launching the inaugural Vintage Muster – a major event for pre-2005 1/10 off-road RC cars, drawing over 220 entries in its first year. Passionate about growing the vintage RC scene in Brisbane, he regularly travels to race and reconnect with the RC community across Australia.

Now, over 30 years later, he has returned with a renewed passion and a competitive edge, fully embracing the world of vintage RC racing. With deep roots in the sport and a lifelong enthusiasm for RC, Chris brings both experience and energy to every event he attends — proving that the love for racing never fades.

Rick Greenwood - UK
Rick – Early Adopter and Key Contributor to the RX4E Project.
A seasoned and highly respected driver, Rick was one of the earliest adopters of the Team Rubrix program, joining in 2023 and receiving serialized RX4E chassis P004. From the outset, Rick played a crucial role in the development and refinement of the RX4E platform, providing valuable input during its formative stages.
His commitment to the program was matched by strong on-track results, including a 4th place finish at the 2025 Euro Masters in Germany, showcasing the RX4E's competitiveness on the international stage.
Rick continues to be a vital member of Team Rubrix, combining deep racing experience with a passion for innovation.

Adam Lea - UK
Adam – Top UK Driver and Key RX4E Project Contributor.
Adam joined Team Rubrix in 2024 and has been a standout contributor to both the RX4E platform and the growing vintage RC racing scene in the UK. A skilled and dedicated driver, Adam has quickly re-established himself as a front-runner, despite only returning to racing in 2023 after a hiatus that began in 1997.

A passionate vintage RC hobbyist and seasoned racer, Craig has been active in the RC racing scene since the early 1990s, representing numerous teams over the years. In 2025, he joined Team Rubrix, focusing primarily on vintage class racing.
Craig currently competes with the Rubrix RXD Race Pack Conversion and the Rubrix RX4E, showcasing his versatility and commitment to excellence in both 2WD and 4WD vintage platforms.

Joined Rubrix in 2025, Craig Lomax returned to RC racing in 2023 after nearly three decades away from the sport. With a deep passion for the vintage RC scene, Craig finds that it brings back great memories and a strong sense of community. In 2025, he competed at the Euro Masters in Germany and the UK Vintage Showdown, proudly representing Rubrix. Currently, Craig is focused on securing his first win with the Rubrix RXD, a platform he's excited to continue developing. Later this year, Craig will be racing at the prestigious Team Associated Vintage Nationals in Las Vegas, where he's aiming to make a strong impression.
