The new Pioneer wheels for the vintage 2wd buggy class have unique features and aesthetics unseen before. While looking at a 1989 Masami Hirosaka replica, Jason Ruona had a 3D vision of recreating an iconic variation. The pop-out panels of the Pioneer wheels add new looks in a positive direction while the home position remains for the proper offset, and mounting characteristics.
 
Built for the industry standard 2.2” wheel combinations, the Paddle Pin comes just in time for the rush of vintage racers and events searching for the ultimate dirt and loamy track tire. Available in sticky green compound, the tires arrive with open cell inserts for increased cushion on soft tracks and just the right amount of stability for high performance and drying track conditions. Mount the wheels to #3348 Mono wheels, #3404 RC10 Mono wheels, #3464 Pioneer wheels, to give 2wd and 4wd buggies a much-needed refresh for the true and natural dirt conditions.
 
Fresh outer ribs drop in between the sectional panels and a radial ring around the wheel nut area. The ribs connect the 4 screw location areas created to represent adaptors used during the golden age of RC. The Pioneer wheels are for show and go, racers who want a new look, high-end performance and a variety of color combinations will reach for the new wheels in 2025 and beyond.
