The Rubrix Racing Products 4WD Revival Class at the JConcepts Vintage Clash of Champions proved to be one of the most intense on the track battles of the weekend.  A class that Brian was scheduled to compete in with this exact car kit, and the car kit that was last on his workbench at the time of his passing.  His closest friends and competitors all rallied together to put on a show in this class to pay their respects.  Ultimately, Team DBR won the event, taking TQ as well with his Rubrix Racing RMP kit driven by Chris VanAir.  However, Jose Zayas pulled in second place finish, with Scott Spear getting on the podium with his Rubrix Racing RX4E kit.  Allen Horne entered the class with a Production Kit Yokomo MX4 that had many Rubrix Racing parts added to it for added durability.  Allen Horne, one of his closest friends and competitors, won the Legends Invite class in dominant form at this event, and donated the Dunbar Cup to the Henley family and owners of Hoosier RC HobbyPlex to continue on his legacy.
 
Brian Dunbar’s legacy will live on forever, and this tribute edition kit is an extension of that.  One of the primary goals of Brian’s iconic racing career that was never fulfilled was getting the box art of a car kit. Something he wanted and worked so hard to achieve.  At the JConcepts Vintage Clash of Champions, Rubrix Racing Products announced to Brian’s father and family that this Brian Dunbar edition kit would be released to the public to fulfill his lifelong dream.  This kit is a tribute to Brian’s amazing personality, racing career and impact on the RC community.
